WATER WORLD

While much of Thailand has been turned into Water World, it’s business as usual at the Royi Sal wholesale jewelry company.

If you read our blog post last week, you would know that we were bracing ourselves for a flood. It really has been a tense time in Thailand. Of the country’s 77 provinces, 60 have experienced flooding and 10% of the nation’s rice farms have been wiped out by the raging waters.


Many people have been evacuated from their homes, and scores of businesses, schools, and hospitals have closed. A total of 8.2 million people have been affected, and almost 300 have died.


The worst of it has thankfully passed but it will take some communities months to recover. While the danger isn’t over, it looks like we may have escaped the worst of it here in Bangkok.


Thank you to all the messages of support we have received from our customers around the world. I’m pleased to say that it’s business as usual at the Royi Sal wholesale jewelry company as we remain determined not to let the tragedy affect us. We are still managing to keep our jewelry production operational and we are filling all our orders.
